Our School
Bright Buttons is a well-established, private, Christian preschool with a difference. It is run by an Educational Psychologist and has very small classes, each with a teacher and an assistant. It is a school that aims to make the system fit the child rather than the child fit the system. It takes an individual approach, seeing each child for who they are, and for their uniqueness.
About Bright Buttons Pre-School
We aim to give each child “A confident start to a bright future”.
We aim to provide a happy, stable, Christian environment in which we nurture and encourage each child to reach his or her full potential. This is often underestimated and untapped in children.
The teachers have the children’s interest at heart first and foremost, ensuring they grow and develop in a loving, secure environment so that they one day become kind, confident and successful individuals. We have a team of staff who are passionate about teaching, and extremely loving and caring. The all have tertiary qualifications, and all those staff with appropriately-aged children have their child in a class at the school.
We cater from 12 months to 6 years (Gr R). This allows toddlers to start and finish in one school without having to move schools. The school is divided into 2 sections, with the two youngest groups separate from the older groups, providing them with a small, safe and secure environment to grow and develop.
Our school has a homely family feel to it. It can be found in a quiet cul de sac in Hillcrest, in a home that has been converted into a school, making it feel like a home away from home. It is on an acre of property with a spacious outdoor area for the children to play and run freely. It has three separate jungle gyms and playgrounds.
At the centre of Bright Buttons is our Christian belief system, which we teach to the children through songs and stories and everyday living by example, teaching important values such as love, kindness, gentleness, empathy and forgiveness.
We aim to develop bright buttons and by bright we mean happy children who have a love for learning and for God. Our school has been described as a happy, peaceful environment.

Our secretary will assist you with setting up a tour of the school. Alternatively, you can do an online application so that you get into the system as the waiting list is based on a first come, first served basis. We will then contact you by phone or email to arrange a visit.

Can I send my child part-time?
Yes! Your child can come part-time, either 2 days or 3 days a week.
Does my child need to be potty trained to attend Bright Buttons?
No. We follow the child and when the child is ready, and together with the parents we will potty-train the child.
Are all your classes small?
Do you offer aftercare until 5pm?
Are the Aftercare fees included in the school fees?
No, aftercare fees are not included in the school fees.
